Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Ballad Match, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ballad Match. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18, that you have not been previously banned from the service, and that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on Ballad Match, including your story, photos, and messages. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it to other users as part of the service. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Send spam, solicitations, or unsolicited commercial messages
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Post sexually explicit or violent content
• Attempt to circumvent any security features of the service

6. Photo Vault & Matching

Ballad Match uses a story-first model. Your photos are stored in a private vault. Once you like someone's story, that person can see your photos while they decide whether to like you back. If they like your story back, you can both see each other's photos. Messaging is turned on only after the person who liked first has looked at the other person's photos and approved them. You may not screenshot, download, or redistribute another user's vault photos without their consent.

7. Intellectual Property

The Ballad Match name, logo, website design, and underlying code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our written permission.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings, once your profile is finished.

9. Disclaimers

Ballad Match is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that other users' content is accurate or truthful.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ballad Match shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the service or by other means. Your continued use of Ballad Match after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
